Track 2: Iwatobi High Swim Club’s New Member Recruitment Program
N: (sighs) Rei-chan, we didn’t get any new members, huh? Even though we definitely left good results at the assembly…
R: Nagisa-kun, at any rate, the assembly certainly was a great chance to get new members… However, even with that, if we can’t gather new members, then we’ll have to come up with a new idea.

Free! ES Episode 12 (Addition)
The accents were 50% accurate 50% Americans doing them.
The Host Parents were fairly accurate
the smaller roles like the passport guy and the blondie who dives next to Haru in the Olympic pool were terrible
and they were eating fucking Harry’s Hotdogs like is that a thing in Japan we have many other foods but Rin and Haru want to eat shitty tiger pies and godawful hotdogs okay

Free! ES Episode 12 (Spoilers)
I have been to all these places.
They’ve drawn our shitty trains, they went to the pool they used for the Olympics in the Aquatic Centre (Which I used to go there as a kid! !!!) They drew Homebush station and Lidcombe station (They had the train line to go to the Olympic Park and called it just the Aquatic Centre instead JFC) and I recognised them all because wow, they got our parks right and everything else like I love how they drew central station
like it’s cool seeing it all on an anime
bless being Australian for this one moment
like a 9.9/10 for accuracy

I had just gone into labour (to have a baby) when a regular client called with some last-minute and typically urgent editing he needed done. It was 10pm on a Friday night.
I explained that I was in labour and that we would be heading to the hospital.
Client: But I heard labour can take anywhere from 10-14 hours, so you should have enough time to do this edit quickly. Please?

My Least Favorite Trope (and this post will include spoilers for The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Matrix, Western Civilization, and—cod help me—Bulletproof Monk*.) is the thing where there’s an awesome, smart, wonderful, powerful female character who by all rights ought to be the Chosen One and the hero of the movie, who is tasked with taking care of some generally ineffectual male character who is, for reasons of wish fulfillment, actually the person the film focuses on. She mentors him, she teaches him, and she inevitably becomes his girlfriend… and he gets the job she wanted: he gets to be the Chosen One even though she’s obviously far more qualified. And all he has to do to get it and deserve it is Man Up and Take Responsibility.
And that’s it. Every god-damned time. The mere fact of naming the films above and naming the trope gives away the entire plot and character arc of every single movie.
